Today is a big day!
Our fellows have been chosen as one of the three finalists for a poster competition in the AAAS annual meeting – Understanding Dynamic Ecosystems! They took part in the Student E-Poster competition, under the Technology, Engineering & Math category.
The poster merges into one application the research of three BIGMATH fellows: Rongjiao Ji, Filipa Valdeira and Stevo Racković. They have developed a model for online human-like avatar communication, where a user only needs a simple camera to produce his own avatar. It will not only replicate his expressions and movements, but also enhance a chosen emotion.
The final round of the competition is on Saturday, 16th of January: it will be recorded and broadcasted during the meeting, on February 8-11. So stay tuned to see our poster and find out the results!
